Opening City Hall of Beverwijk

On the evening of Thursday January 26th the first council session of the New Beverwijk City Hall was celebrated. The inauguration was preceded by addresses by Mayor Han Leeuwen,  Marco Villares from Jeanne Dekkers Architectuur and the contractor Dura Vermeer. Guided tours of the of the brand new transparent and colourful building were organized as well as a celebratory dinner in the restaurant for all those present. The municipal coat of arms above the main entrance was also ceremoniously unveiled. The staff who are adapting to the new way of working since moving in at beginning of 2012 unanimously praised the openness and spatial qualities of their new building.
