The design for these chairs was originally created for the Limburgs Museum in Venlo. By treating the chairs as a family of different objects, the possibility arose to apply these chairs and benches in other locations.
The base comprises of a dark grey surface, with the sides of the chair given a contrasting colour. Variations in shape and colour give the furniture a different look each time. Thus, a "throne" and a "bench" are created. Two types of seats were designed: one with a hard surface and one with a soft surface. The hard type is suited for public spaces and outdoor areas. The soft type, with more seating comfort, is designed for private spaces.
Kembo created some prototypes. The series has expanded over the years.
