Jeanne Dekkers Architectuur designed an apartment building for Vesteda with fourteen dwellings within the urban plan of Soeters Van Eldonk and Dana Ponec, supervisor for the Centre Amsterdam North. The building is situated on the edge of the architecturally diverse area of Elzenhage. The assignment, a relatively small block with a simple program, resulted in a clear but bold building, with a distinct look. This compact building sits harmoniously with the buildings next to the canal on one side, and with a row of houses on the other side. It consists of four floors. The ground floor accommodates the storage space for the apartments and bicycles; the other layers each consist of four dwellings situated around a central hall, containing the lift and stairs, built in a sturdy, grey masonry.
